Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) launched its digital credential program on Credly's Acclaim platform this week.
UPPCC recognizes professionalism in public procurement through the identification of a common body of knowledge and the certification of individuals against established standards of competency. The UPPCC offers two distinct levels of professional certification; the Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and the Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB).
“CPPO and CPPB are the recognized gold standards of achievement in public procurement,” said Kathleen Muretti, CPPO, CPPB, current Chair of UPPCC. “Individuals work hard to achieve and maintain them, and UPPCC is pleased to offer this great communication tool to help certified individuals promote their value to public procurement.”
"Earning a certification demonstrates a commitment to excellence in one's field and an investment of time and energy by motivated professionals," said Jonathan Finkelstein, CEO of Credly. "With its new digital credential offering, UPPCC provides certified procurement professionals with a form of recognition that increases the return on that investment through connection to career opportunities and trusted, real-time credential verification."
