Today, the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) announced the launch of its digital credential program. All of HFMA’s current certificate and certification programs will now be recognized with a secure, portable, verifiable digital credential issued through Credly’s Acclaim platform. HFMA is a membership organization that brings together executives and financial managers from provider organizations, physician practices, and health plan markets to collaborate on and address the financial challenges faced by the U.S. healthcare system.
In offering digital credentials, HFMA ensures that members are able to take full advantage of their achievements in a digital landscape. In the press release, HFMA President and CEO Joseph J. Fifer, FHFMA, CPA, commented, “Digital credentialing will make it easier for HFMA certificate earners to demonstrate the value of their credential and for organizational leaders to manage employee engagement.” Added Jonathan Finkelstein, CEO of Credly,
“Professionals derive a multitude of benefits from association membership. By issuing its certifications as digital credentials through Credly, HFMA is providing its certificate earners and partner organizations with global verification and seamless validation of in-demand skills in a way that signals an ongoing commitment to relevance in the modern world of work.”
